The beluga

The beluga is a spin off the reggae shark template with a high contrast bottom shape. It has a pronounced rolled entry that transitions mid board into a scooped out single concave which makes the front of the board smooth and nimble while still getting the fast planing responsive feel from the tail. The way the two bottom contours blend together is where the magic lies in the beluga, drawing curve between the feet in the rail rocker and making it turn on a dime despite size and thickness. Originally made for larger surf as a lazy board loaded with paddle power I was blown away by how fun it surfed in small pockety beach breaks and average surf. A sort of out there 2’-10’ ride-all machine. 0riginal dims are 6’9”x 20” x 3 3/8” and is made with the 1+2, twin toe, heel quad, fin set up.
